Sheriff: Man, 64, Dies Following Head-On Crash In Western Wis.

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Officials in western Wisconsin says a 64-year-old man died Wednesday night after his pickup crossed the center line on a highway and collided head-on with an SUV.

The Polk County Sheriff's Office says the crash happened shortly after 9 p.m. on Highway 35 near 160th Avenue in the town of St. Croix Falls.

When deputies got to the scene, they found the Lloyd Harry, of Centuria, Wis., dead, with his Ford Ranger pickup smashed into the front of a Chevrolet Suburban. Harry was not wearing a seat belt.

The driver of the suburban, 53-year-old Marc Jensen also of Centuria, was wearing a seat belt. He suffered serious injuries and a helicopter flew him to a Twin Cities hospital for treatment, the sheriff's office said. His current condition is not known.

The sheriff's office says that cause of the crash is yet unknown.

St. Croix Falls is about 50 miles northeast of Minneapolis.
