HCMC Expanding In Downtown Minneapolis
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- We're getting a first look at the plans to expand Hennepin County Medical Center in downtown Minneapolis.
A new clinic and specialty center will be built on 8th Street -- directly across from the main emergency campus.
The new center will be six levels tall and will also have underground parking lots.
HCMC officials say the expansion will help them meet the growing demand for more outpatient care.
The nearly $200 million project is expected to be completed in 2017.
