'Hamilton' Coming To The Orpheum Theatre

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The show that even your dead great-great grandmother can't stop talking about this year is coming to Minneapolis. Eventually.

The Hennepin Theatre Trust announced that "Hamilton," the multi-Tony Award-winning musical that became just about the hottest ticket Broadway has seen in a generation, is coming to the Orpheum Theater in its 2018-2019 season.

The 2017-2018 season -- for those who haven't already fainted from excitement -- will be announced next month.

The Hennepin Theatre Trust said the best way to ensure being able to get a seat is to get a subscription to the season.

"Hamilton" was written by Lin-Manuel Miranda.
