Habitat for Humanity Program Empowers Women Thru Construction Work

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A Minnesota mother of three boys is getting some much-needed home repairs thanks to generous volunteers.

They are with Habitat for Humanity's Women Build program, which empowers women of all physical abilities through construction work -- and empowers the women who own the homes that are built or repaired.

Saturday's project includes interior repairs and a fresh coat of paint.

It kicks off a busy construction season for Women Build. Their next project begins Monday in St. Paul.
