Growing Demand For Construction Workers In The Twin Cities

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- If you're looking for work, there are jobs to be had in the construction industry.

Dave Siegel, the executive director of the Builders Association of the Twin Cities, says they're seeing a comeback after several years of contraction.

"And now we see a substantial need, a shortage really for folks in our industry, particularly for those in the trades of painters, roofers and drywall installers," Siegel said.

He says there are 200 openings currently and there will be 20 companies at a job fair at the Mall of America Thursday from noon to 4 p.m. at the Rotunda.
