Group of Juveniles Caught 'Batting' Rocks At Carver County Homes

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) - Carver County sheriff's deputies caught a group of juveniles who had been running through backyards in Waconia, Minn., "batting" rocks at houses.

Eight juveniles were detained, and one adult male was arrested, around 3 a.m. Sunday.

The sheriff's office linked the juveniles to more than 30 reports of property damage to houses and vehicles in Waconia, Victoria and Chanhassen.

The estimated damage added up to more than $25,000 in smashed windows, dents, and holes in vinyl siding.

The juveniles fled on foot from sheriff's deputies.

They were released to their parents.
