Grand Marais Named 'America's Coolest Little Town'

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Minnesota's own Grand Marais has been deemed the "America's Coolest Small Town 2015," according to Budget Travel.

Budget Travel says the north shore town received 30 percent of the vote in the contest that had more than 100,000 votes.

According to the website, they define cool as "an energetic vibe that often combines community spirit with a vibrant arts scene, great food, natural beauty, and unique history."

Coming in second and third were Chincoteague, Virginia and Hillsborough, North Carolina.
