DNR To Harvest Christmas Tree For Governor's Mansion

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Christmas is coming to the Governor's Residence!

On Friday morning the DNR forestry and Conservation Corps of Minnesota will cut down a Christmas tree for the mansion.

The balsam fir tree is located in the Nemadji State Forest. It is estimated to be 40 – 45 years old. It is expected to arrive at the Governor's Mansion on Monday.

It will stand on the grounds of Gov. Mark Dayton's front lawn.
