Gov. Chris Christie Grabs A Bite At Uptown Diner

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- New Jersey Governor Chris Christie stopped by for a bite to eat at a Minneapolis neighborhood restaurant Thursday morning.

The Republican presidential candidate dropped into the Uptown Diner on Hennepin Avenue late this morning on his way to a fundraiser at the Minikahda Club by Lake Calhoun.

Gov. Christie's opponent in the presidential campaign, Republican Senator Marco Rubio, was scheduled to appear at the club as well, but cancelled. A spokesman for Rubio said the junior senator will be in Washington to take part in the vote on the Iran nuclear deal.
