GOP's Dahlberg Raised $103K For Senate Race

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Republican Chris Dahlberg is reporting that he raised $103,000 in his first three months as a U.S. Senate candidate.

Dahlberg, a St. Louis County Commissioner, released his fundraising totals Tuesday. He is among a group of Republicans seeking the party's backing to run against Democratic Sen. Al Franken in November.

Dahlberg joined the race at the end of September. Of the $103,048 he raised up through the end of 2013, he is reporting just short of $47,000 left in the bank.

Businessman Mike McFadden is leading the GOP fundraising race, with $1.7 million in the bank by the end of 2013. Franken had $4.8 million on hand at the end of the year.

Republicans Julianne Ortman, Jim Abeler, Monti Moreno and Phillip Parrish have not released their latest fundraising tallies.
