Gophers Zauhi Named Big Ten Player Of The Week

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – After a big win over Nebraska Monday night, the University of Minnesota women's basketball team got a weekly honor Tuesday from the Big Ten Conference.

Amanda Zahui B., a sophomore center, was named the league's Player of the Week. She helped lead the Gophers to a 72-69 win over the Cornhuskers after Minnesota trailed by as much as 17 points in the second half. Zahui B. finished with 20 points and 15 rebounds for her ninth double-double of the season.

She also had four blocks and three steals in the victory. It's the fifth Player of the Week honor for Zahui in her career and first this season.
