Gophers' Sheehy Named Big Ten Second Star

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Gophers sophomore Tyler Sheehy had a big weekend against Ohio State, and he earned a weekly honor from the Big Ten on Tuesday.

Sheehy was named the Big Ten's Second Star of the Week. He led all Big Ten players with five points over the weekend as Minnesota split its opening series with the Buckeyes. Sheehy scored twice in both games, including the game-winner Friday night, and added an assist.

It's his third career award and second this season. He leads the Gophers with 20 points on the season, which includes nine goals.

The Gophers travel to Michigan State for a series this weekend.
