Gophers' Shae Kelley Named Big Ten Player Of The Week

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Senior forward Shae Kelley of the University of Minnesota women's basketball team was named the Big Ten Player of the Week on Monday after helping lead the Gophers to a pair of victories.

Kelley averaged a double-double of 20.5 points and 11 rebounds per game as the Gophers beat Cleveland State and Memphis last week. She also had three steals per game and shot 53 percent from the field in the two wins.

Kelley scored 21 points on 10-of-16 shooting and added 14 rebounds in the Gophers' win over Cleveland State. She had 20 points and eight rebounds in the win over Memphis.

She is leading the Gophers in scoring at 20.7 points per game through three games, all victories, and is averaging 10.7 rebounds per game.
