Gophers' Lettieri Suspended 1 Game After Altercation Against Wisconsin

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – University of Minnesota sophomore Vinni Lettieri was suspended one game on Monday by the Big Ten Conference after an altercation between the Gophers and Wisconsin broke out near the end of Minnesota's 5-2 win on Saturday at Mariucci Arena.

Lettieri was suspended one game for leaving the bench when the altercation started. He will miss Minnesota's game Friday night against No. 1-ranked Minnesota State University-Mankato as part of the North Star College Cup at Xcel Energy Center.

Lettieri's actions fell under the conference's supplemental discipline process for the altercation.

Wisconsin's Eddie Wittchow was also suspended two games by the Big Ten Conference for his role in the altercation.
