2 Former Gophers Picked In 4th Round Of NFL Draft

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Two former Minnesota players have been selected in the fourth round of the NFL draft, cornerback Eric Murray and linebacker De'Vondre Campbell.

Murray went Saturday to Kansas City with the 106th overall pick. Then Campbell was taken by Atlanta with the 115th overall selection.

Gophers coach Tracy Claeys calls Murray the best player he has ever coached. The 5-foot-11, 199-pound native of Milwaukee never missed a practice or a game in four years with the program. Murray gives the Gophers at least one defensive back drafted for three straight years.

Says Claeys of the 6-foot-4, 232-pound Campbell: "You cannot teach height and speed, and he has plenty of both."
