Former Gophers Coach Zebrowski Hired At Hamline

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Former Minnesota quarterbacks coach Jim Zebrowski has been named assistant head coach at Hamline.

The Division-III school in St. Paul announced the hire on Tuesday. Zebrowski was the quarterbacks coach for the Golden Gophers for the previous five seasons under Jerry Kill. When Kill was forced into retirement because of ongoing issues with epilepsy, new Gophers coach Tracy Claeys chose not to retain Zebrowski.

Zebrowski will serve as offensive coordinator for the Pipers. It's a return to Division III for Zebrowski, who played in college at Mount Union. He also coached at several D-III schools, including Wisconsin-Whitewater before joining Kill's staff at Northern Illinois in 2010.

Zebrowski won two national championships as the offensive coordinator at Whitewater.
