Gopher Women's Hockey Routs Bemidji State 10-0

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Seven different players scored Friday night as the University of Minnesota women's hockey team handled Bemidji State with ease in a 10-0 victory at Ridder Arena Friday night.

The Gophers, ranked No. 1 in the nation, improved to 27-1-1 on the season with the win. Minnesota got five goals in the win from the line of Rachael Bona, Sarah Davis and Kate Schipper. Bona and Davis each had two goals and two assists in the win.

Schipper had one goal and three assists in a career-high four-point game. Hannah Brandt scored twice and Rachel Ramsey recorded four assists. Amanda Leveille earned the shutout in net, her 10th of the season, with 21 saves.

The Gophers scored six goals in the second period to take an 8-0 lead after two periods. Minnesota and Bemidji State finish the weekend series with a game at 4 p.m. Saturday at Ridder Arena.
