Gopher Women Sign Palma Kaposi To Basketball Roster

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The University of Minnesota women's basketball team signed Hungarian forward Palma Kaposi on Wednesday and she will join the roster for the 2016-17 season.

Kaposi will have three years of eligibility.

"We are honored to welcome Palma Kaposi to the Golden Gopher family," coach Marlene Stollings said. "She has extensive national team experience and comes from a system very similar to how we play. Palma is versatile and can play both inside and outside at the power forward position. This is an exciting addition to our program."

Kaposi has played for the Hungarian National Team since 2012.

Kaposi has played for the Hungarian National Team since 2012. She played for Team Hungary at the 2012 U-16 European Championship as well as the 2014 U-18 European Championship and last year in the U-20 European Championship.
