Gopher Women Shoot Past Penn State, 85-77

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Shae Kelley and Shayne Mullaney combined for 41 points as the University of Minnesota women's basketball team won at Penn State 85-77 on Sunday.

The Gophers (20-6, 9-5) got 23 points from Kelley in the victory. Mullaney added a career-high 18 points. Minnesota got its first series sweep over Penn State since the 2009-10 season and got to 20 wins in the regular season for the first time since the 2007-08 season.

Mullaney made a career-high five 3-pointers, all in the second half, as Minnesota made 12 3-pointers in the game. Carlie Wagner added 17 points as the Gophers shot 54 percent from three-point range.

Minnesota hosts Iowa on Tuesday at Williams Arena.
