Gopher Hockey Falls To Wisconsin 2-1

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 14-game unbeaten streak came to an end for the University of Minnesota men's hockey team in a 2-1 loss at Wisconsin Thursday night.

It's the Gophers' first regulation loss since last November in their first loss in Big Ten Conference play.

The Gophers dropped to 19-3-5 overall despite outshooting Wisconsin 32-19 on the game. Trailing 1-0 in the first period, Minnesota tied it at 1-1 on a goal from Taylor Cammarata, his sixth of the season.

Wisconsin scored the game-winner at the 13:47 mark of the third period. Adam Wilcox made 17 saves in net for the Gophers, but it wasn't enough. The Gophers and Badgers wrap up the series at 8 p.m. Friday at the Kohl Center.
