Gopher Football Saturday Scrimmage Moved To Concordia-St. Paul

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The University of Minnesota announced Tuesday that its football scrimmage set for Saturday morning has been moved to Sea Foam Stadium on the campus of Concordia University in St. Paul.

The Gophers were set to have the scrimmage at TCF Bank Stadium, but the Minnesota Vikings host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in their second preseason game at 7 p.m. Saturday. The Gophers will scrimmage at 10:10 a.m. at Concordia-St. Paul.

Fans are encouraged to arrive early for the scrimmage as parking in the area is limited. Those who attend will also be asked to sit in the stands and not sit or stand on the track that surrounds the football field. Concession stand will be closed and it's expected to be warm, so fans who attend are encouraged to bring water.

The Gophers will also practice at 10:25 a.m. Friday at the Gibson-Nagurski Football Complex, which will be open to the public.

Minnesota is about three weeks away from its season opener, hosting No. 2-ranked TCU on Thursday, Sept. 3.
