State Patrol: 1 Dead In Semi Vs. Minivan Crash In Goodhue Co.

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- One person is dead and another is injured following a crash between a semi-truck and minivan Tuesday afternoon in Goodhue County.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, around 3:30 p.m. a semi-truck broadsided a minivan at the intersection of Highway 57 and County Road 11.

The patrol said 15-year-old Hallie G. White, of Faribault, was traveling westbound on CR 11 in a Ford Windstar when she stopped at a stop sign at Hwy. 57. At the same time, 40-year-old Matthew D. Weis, of Mantorville, was traveling northbound in a semi. When White passed through the intersection, Weis broadsided her.

White suffered serious injuries. Her passenger, 39-year-old Marisa A. Bocanegra, was killed.

Weis suffered no apparent injury.
