Goalkeeper, Defender Leaving Minnesota United

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Minnesota United soccer team announced Monday that goalkeeper Mitch Hildebrandt and defender Tyler Polak are leaving the team.

Hildebrandt spent four seasons with the United and appeared in 24 games. He posted four shutouts and helped the United earn 10 wins.

Polak came to the United before the 2014 season after playing with the Rochester Rhinos. He played in five games as a defender with the United and logged 308 minutes.

In addition to the player departures, the United has gone through coaching and organizational changes before the start of the 2016 season. Manny Lagos has been named the team's sporting director, and Carl Craig will assume head coaching duties.

The Minnesota United play in the North American Soccer League.
