MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities say a 13-year-old girl was not seriously hurt after being hit by a car in Maple Grove Wednesday night.

Police say the incident happened at about 6:45 p.m. in the area of 82nd Ave. and Inland Ln N. The girl was crossing near a crosswalk in the area with her sisters when she was hit by a vehicle.  She was transported to North Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Authorities say the driver stopped at the scene and was cooperative with police. Police say the incident is under investigation, but impairment does not appear to be a factor in the girl being hit.
