Get A Taste Of Greece In Minneapolis This Weekend

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- If you like Greek food, Minneapolis is the place to be this weekend.

Minneapolis is hosting the Taste of Greece on Saturday and Sunday. The event features Greek dancers, food and some live music.

Katherine Boosalis with the Taste of Greece said the Greeks are very proud of their culture and heritage, and wants everyone to feel welcome to take in the festivities this weekend. It's an event that aims to celebrate several aspects of the Greek heritage, including social, culture, family, food, dance and celebration.

Among the featured food items at the Taste of Greece are the lamb burger and baklava.

Get A Taste Of Greece In Minneapolis

The Taste of Greece goes from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and starts against at 12 p.m. Sunday. It's being held at St. Mary's Greek Orthodox Church on Lake Calhoun in Minneapolis.

Those who attend can get two tickets if you being three canned goods for a local food shelf. Funds from the event also go to several Twin Cities and national charities.
