Garrison Keillor Hosts Final Minnesota 'Prairie Home' Show

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Garrison Keillor is doing the long goodbye.

He hosted "A Prairie Home Companion" in Minnesota for the final time Saturday from the State Theatre in Minneapolis.

He's taking the show on the road and his last broadcast will be July 2 from Los Angeles.

Keillor will also perform at the Minnesota State Fair on September 2.

However, that grandstand event is called "The Minnesota Show with Garrison Keillor."

Chris Thile is replacing the retiring Keillor on "A Prairie Home Companion."
