Funeral Set For Anoka Man Found Dead In RV

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Funeral services are set for an Anoka man found dead in an RV last week who had been missing since last November.

Kevin Casserly, 22 and a father to two children, had been missing for six months. Last Thursday, his body was found in a storage compartment of an RV by a group who had rented the vehicle from a private party in Anoka County to head to the Kentucky Derby for a bachelor party.

The group was picking people up in Winona last Thursday night when they smelled a foul odor from outside the vehicle. They found the body that was later identified as Casserly in a storage compartment.

His cause of death has not yet been released. His family said he had been battling addiction but was getting clean.

A funeral for Casserly will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Emmanuel Christian Center in Minneapolis. A visitation will start before the service at 1 p.m.
