Funeral Set For 4-Year-Old Girl Killed In St. Paul Fire
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Funeral arrangements are set for a 4-year-old girl who died in a St. Paul house fire last Sunday as authorities continue to investigate what caused it.
The St. Paul Fire Department was called at about 8:30 p.m. on the 500 block of Jessamine Avenue after a fire started in a first-floor bedroom and quickly spread to a house next door. A man in the home was able to save his wife, mother and four of his children.
But 4-year-old NtshiaLiag Yang didn't make it out. She had just had a birthday Jan. 31.
There will be a funeral service for Yang on Thursday, Feb. 19, at Koob Moo Funeral Chapel at 1235 Arcade Street in St. Paul. Officials with the St. Paul Fire Department said the cause at this point is undetermined, but the fire did start in a first-floor bedroom.
The family of the girl has set up a memorial fund to help pay for funeral expenses and to get the family through this difficult time. Here's how to donate to the Chialia Memorial Benefit Fund.
