Funeral Scheduled For Man Killed In Wal-Mart Shooting

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) — Memorial services have been scheduled for a Grand Forks man killed when another man walked into a Wal-Mart store and started shooting.

Dahl Funeral Home says visitation and a prayer service for 70-year-old Gregory Weiland is Friday night at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Grand Forks, and Weiland's funeral is 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church.

Weiland will be buried at St. Bernard's Catholic Cemetery in Thief River Falls, Minnesota.

Authorities say 21-year-old Marcell Willis walked into the Wal-Mart store early Tuesday and shot and killed Weiland, an overnight cashier. Willis then shot and wounded 47-year-old overnight grocery general manager Lisa Braun, who's recovering in a hospital. Willis then killed himself.

Willis' motive isn't known. He was a senior airman stationed at Grand Forks Air Force Base.
