Frizell Named Inspector Of Minneapolis Police 1st Precinct

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- There's a new inspector of the Minneapolis Police Department's First Precinct.

Chief Medaria Arradondo announced the appointment of Eddie Frizell as inspector in the precinct, which covers most of downtown Minneapolis. He'll take the post on Dec. 10. The current inspector, Mike Sullivan, will go to the Third Precinct, where he served from 2012 to 2016.

Frizell also ran for the post of Hennepin County Sheriff in 2014, but lost to the current sheriff, Rich Stanek.
