Fridley Man Dead After Being Hit By Car

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A man is dead after a car crashed into him Friday night in Fridley.

Police say the fatal crash happened at the intersection of University and 81st avenues just after 9:30 p.m.

The 37-year-old Fridley resident was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say the man was hit while crossing University Avenue. The driver did stop and is cooperating with the investigation.

The names of the victim and the driver have not been released.
