Update: Sen. Franken's 6th Annual Hotdish Competition Postponed

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The sixth annual hotdish competition in Washington D.C. has been postponed.

For six years, Senator Al Franken has been hosting the competition for Minnesota's delegation. Minnesota delegates will take a break from politics to determine something very important, who makes the best hotdish.

The sixth annual competition was scheduled for Wednesday, but has been postponed due to a special announcement by President Barack Obama. Obama said he plans to announce his choice for the new Supreme Court justice.

Last year's winner was Representative Betty McCollum for her "Turkey, Sweet Potato and Wild Rice Hotdish."

After Wednesday's contest, they put the recipes on Franken's website.
