Former Viking Alan Page Honored For Service In Supreme Court

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A celebrated former Minnesota Viking is being honored for his career off the field.

Justice Alan Page got special recognition from the state Senate Thursday morning. A resolution honored him for more than two decades of service on the Minnesota Supreme Court.

Page will celebrate his 70th birthday later this year, and state law requires that he retire from the bench.

"It extends sincere thanks to Alan Page for his years of work as an associate justice and commends him for his decades of service to the people of Minnesota," the senate said.

Page, who's in the NFL Hall of Fame, studied law while playing for the Minnesota Vikings.
