Former Potlatch Plant On Fire Near Cook

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) - A large fire started Tuesday at the site of the former Potlatch Plant near Cook, Minnesota.

The abandoned facility is being salvaged by a local company, according to a press release from the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office.

Firefighters were called to fight the blaze shortly before 5 p.m.

The site was bought by Hill Bio-Mass a few years ago. The company turns wood waste into usable fuel.

The extent of the damage is unknown.
