Forest Lake Ski Team Involved In Fatal Car Crash

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – An Alpine ski team from Forest Lake High School is OK after being involved in a deadly crash Tuesday morning.

According to officials, the crash happened around 10:15 a.m. on Highway 33 near Cloquet.

The State Patrol said one of the coaches was driving a Chevy Surburban when it hit a car that turned into its path.

One passenger in that car was killed.

None of the students or coaches were hurt.

The Forest Lake Times reports the team was headed to Biwabik to compete in the state championships.
