Florida Dethroned As Top Retirement Destination

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Apparently, Florida isn't tops when it comes to retirement anymore.

A new survey by Bank-Rate ranks the best cities to retire, and three of the top five are in Arizona.

Phoenix placed number one. It was followed by Arlington/Alexandria, Va., Prescott, Ariz., Tuscon and Des Moines.

The cities were ranked on cost of living, crime rate, quality of health care and other categories.

The worst place to retire according to this list is New York City.
