Northern Minnesota Sees Season's First Snowfall

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The first snowflakes of the season fell in Minnesota early on Friday morning. Cold air came in behind the front that brought an inch of rain to the Twin Cities on Thursday night.

The cold air mixed with the lingering moisture in northern Minnesota, producing as much as a half inch of snow in parts of northern St. Louis County.

WCCO Weather Watcher Jeremy Maslowski in Tower sent along the photo below at 6:30 am reporting: "Wet flakes falling right now mixed with rain. The grass is white."
