Fireworks-Related Fires Cause More Than $37K Damage In St. Paul

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Fire officials in St. Paul say at least three fires were caused by fireworks in the city over the long Independence Day weekend.

The fires happened between Sunday and Monday, resulting in more than $37,000 worth of damage, the St. Paul Fire Department said.

The fires damaged a garage and car, a shed, and a school property.

Officials say they do not yet have numbers on fireworks-related injuries.
