Firefighters Who Saved Father, Son Honored

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The firefighters and medics who rescued a father and son from a burning St. Paul apartment were honored on Wednesday.

Three-year-old Frederick Stewart and his father were pulled out of the bathroom of the burning apartment on East 7th Street last month.

On Wednesday, Fire Chief Tim Butler handed out Letters of Recognition to the crews who worked together to save Stewart and his father.

The Fire Chief also gave Letters of Recognition to firefighters and paramedics who rescued an unconscious couple from a kitchen fire on Magnolia Avenue in February.
