Firefighter Injured Battling Blaze In Minneapolis

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Authorities said one firefighter was hurt as crews battled a house fire in south Minneapolis Saturday afternoon.

Crews were called to the 4200 block of Dight Ave. S. on a report of a house fire. When firefighters arrived, fire was showing from the roof of the home and crews were able to knock it down quickly.

One firefighter was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center as a precaution with minor injuries from a fall.

There were no serious injuries in the fire and the extent of the damage is not known. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
