Fire Officials: No Injuries After Mpls. Apartment Fire

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Firefighters quickly snuffed out an apartment fire Thursday evening on the city's south side, the Minneapolis Fire Department says.

Crews responded to fire at an apartment building on 2329 9th Street South at around 6:30 p.m. They found the fire in a fourth floor apartment and quickly took care of it, containing it in the apartment where it started.

No injuries were reported, but one person was briefly given shelter as emergency crews ventilated the apartment, the fire department says.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, and all those who live in the apartment building were able to return to their homes.
