Fire Destroys Brooklyn Center Home

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A Brooklyn Center home is a total loss after a fire Friday afternoon.
Authorities responded to a report of a fire at about 1:04 p.m. on the 2300 block of Brookeview Drive. The call was for a garage fire.
Fire crews called for a second alarm as they were responding, and later a third alarm as the fire spread to a nearby structure. As many as 10 departments responded to the scene.
A family of three adults and four kids are accounted for and safe, authorities say.
Crews were able to put the fire out, but the home and a vehicle parked in the driveway are a total loss. No one was injured.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
