Fire Damages Bowling Alley In Little Canada

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities said there were no injuries but a bowling alley in the north Twin Cities metro suffered significant damage in a fire Monday morning.

Crews were called to Saxon Lanes in Little Canada early Monday on a report of a fire. When authorities arrived, they found a fire behind the pin racking machines at the bowling alley. Fire officials said the equipment itself was not burning and they aren't 100 percent sure what was on fire, but the sprinkler system inside the facility helped put the fire out quickly.

Authorities said nobody was inside the bowling alley at the time of the fire. Nobody was hurt, but the building suffered significant water and smoke damage. Fire officials said the cause is under investigation.
