Fire At Waite Park Business Under Investigation

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Officials in Waite Park are investigating the cause of an early Sunday morning fire at a granite-crushing company.

The Department of Public Safety said the fire started around 3 a.m. at the Martin Marietta building on the 1400 block of Division Street. Crews from several nearby fire departments were called to battle the flames.

No employees were in the plant when the fire started, and no firefighters suffered injuries when knocking down the blaze.

The fire was under control as of 5 a.m., officials said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
