Severed Fingers Found On Picnic Bench

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Police in East Grand Forks are investigating after two fingers were found on a picnic bench in a recreation area.

The severed fingers were found Thursday at the Red River Recreation Area. Police say they were brought to the medical examiner's office for examination and possible identification.

No person missing appendages has come forward. Police are currently unsure if a crime took place or someone lost the fingers by accident.
