Figure Skating Fans Turn Out For U.S. Championships In St. Paul

ST. PAUL, Minn. (WCCO) -- The 2016 U.S. Figure Skating Championships is in its final days in St. Paul.

There were plenty of fans at the Xcel Energy Center Saturday, just excited to get in the door. Many were buying merchandise like t-shirts and hats for the event.

They also took pictures, imagining themselves as one of the skaters on the ice. Many families said the event was something they just couldn't miss.

The competition continue into Sunday, when the men's free skate champion will be crowned. The program starts at 1 p.m.
