FBI, Mpls. Police Search For Armed Bank Robbers

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) - The FBI and Minneapolis Police are asking for the public's help in tracking down two armed men who robbed a Minneapolis bank Monday afternoon.

According to the FBI, two suspects entered the Woodlands National Bank at 1113 E. Franklin Ave. at 3:30 p.m.

They ordered everyone to lie on the ground, and witnesses say they even physically pushed victims down. They jumped the teller counter and took an undisclosed amount of money.

One of the robbers is described as a black male, about 27 years old, 5 feet 8 inches tall and approximately 160 pounds. He was wearing a brown parka with a fur-trimmed hood, a long, dark over-sized t-shirt, black pants and black shoes.

The second robber was also described as a black male, about 30 years old, 6 feet tall and approximately 250 pounds. He was wearing a silver and red Adidas hooded jacket with three silver stripes on the arms and hood, black pants and gray shoes.

A reward is being offered for information that leads to an arrest.
