Fatal Tire Store Accident Investigated In Mankato

MANKATO, Minn. (AP) — Police in Mankato are investigating the death of a man who was struck and killed by a truck inside a Mankato tire store.

Authorities say the incident happened Monday afternoon at Tire Associates in an industrial area on the north side of the city.

Police identify the victim as 35-year-old Brady John Schaffer. Attempts to revive Schaffer at the scene were unsuccessful.

The truck that struck Schaffer was owned by Leavenworth Silage Co. in Sleepy Eye and was driven by a 26-year-old man.

The Minnesota division of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating.
