1 Dead In Isanti County Motorcycle Accident

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – An Arizona man died after his motorcycle went airborne Sunday night in Isanti County.

According to the Isanti County Sheriff's Office, just before 6 p.m. deputies received a call of a motorcycle accident on Jodrell Street NE, just north of 285th Avenue NE.

Upon arrival, deputies learned that the motorcycle, driven by a 52-year-old Arizona man, was headed northbound on Jodrell Street when he took a corner too wide.

The man hit the gravel on the side of the road, and the motorcycle went down into a ditch. Then, the bike hit a field approach and both the driver and bike went airborne.

A witness gave CPR to the man until deputies arrived.

Deputies continued after they arrived, but the man was soon declared dead on the scene.

The identity of the victim has not yet been released.
