1 Dead, 1 Injured After ATV Crash In NE Minnesota

BRITT, Minn. (AP) — Authorities say an all-terrain vehicle crash has killed one person and injured another in northeastern Minnesota.

The St. Louis County sheriff's office was called to the crash in Britt late Sunday. The ATV was entering a curve on a road when the driver lost control.

Twenty-four-year-old Jason Triska of Cook was found underneath the overturned ATV and pronounced at the scene. A 23-year-old from Cook was thrown from the vehicle and taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The sheriff's office says neither was wearing a helmet, and alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash. Authorities are still investigating.
